WoW Ravnica connection guide

Realm online

The one line that matters

Whatever client you use, the goal is to point its realmlist at our server:

set realmlist logon.ravnica.online

Everything below is just how to get that line into the right file.

Step by step (Windows)

  1. Get a WoW 3.3.5a client

You need the Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a client, build 12340 (enUS or frFR). We can't link you to one, but it's easy to find — any "3.3.5a 12340" client works.

  2. Create your account

If you haven't yet, register here. The same account works on both realms.

  3. Edit the realmlist file

In your WoW folder, open the file:
    Data\enUS\realmlist.wtf  (or Data\frFR\realmlist.wtf on a French client)

Open it with Notepad, delete everything inside, and replace it with exactly this one line:

    set realmlist logon.ravnica.online

    Save and close.

  4. Launch the game the right way

Start Wow.exe directly — never Launcher.exe or any updater, as those can reset your realmlist back to a different server.

  5. Log in and pick your realm

Enter your account name and password. At the realm screen you'll see the two realms below — choose your adventure.

The two realms

RealmStyle
Ravnica Classic Wrath of the Lich King. Normal rules, play at your own pace.
Ravnica Hardcore Permadeath. Die once and your character becomes a permanent ghost — forever. To make the challenge fair, PvP is off and Horde & Alliance can group, talk and play together. Reach level 80 to "win" and lift the curse.

Both realms use the same account, but characters are separate — a Hardcore hero does not exist on the Classic realm and vice-versa.

If it doesn't work

"Unable to connect" Double-check the realmlist line for typos, and make sure the file holds only that one line.
It connects to the wrong server A launcher overwrote your realmlist. Re-edit the file and start Wow.exe directly.
Can't find / edit realmlist.wtf Turn on file extensions in Windows Explorer (View → File name extensions). If the file refuses to save, right-click it → Properties → uncheck "Read-only".
Names show as "Unknown" Delete the Cache folder in your WoW directory; the client rebuilds it automatically.
